Mitch Ziemer
CRMP Governing Board, Board Chair / CEA Insurance Director.
Mitch Ziemer is the Insurance Director of the CEA. With over 25 years of insurance industry experience with the Fireman’s Fund Insurance Companies, Mr. Ziemer managed development and implementation of nationwide strategic and tactical business plans to support regional objectives for growth, profit, and service for Fireman’s Fund homeowners and watercraft lines of business. Mr. Ziemer served as a member of the California FAIR Plan governing committee from 2005-2009; he also chaired the Committee. Mr. Ziemer now directs the CEA’s core insurance-business functions, including claims. Mr. Ziemer is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee, where he received a Bachelor of Arts and Social Sciences degree with a concentration in Economics.

 

Christina Curry
CRMP Governing Board, Vice Chair / Cal OES, Assistant Director - Planning, Preparedness and Prevention.
Christina Curry was appointed by Governor Brown in 2012 and has held multiple positions for California Governor's Office of Emergency Services, including appointments as Assistant Director in 2005 and Deputy Director of Preparedness and Training in 2008. Ms. Curry’s areas of oversight include state-level Planning and Preparedness programs for all hazards. She also held multiple positions at the Governor's Office of Emergency Services from 1991 to 2001.

 

Dan Dyce, CPU RPA
CRMP Governing Board, Board Member.
  Dan Dyce is a consultant specializing in residential earthquake claim handling. His forte is the ability to train claim adjusters on earthquake policy coverage and claim handling in a humorous and memorable way. For 14 years prior to 2015, he was the Claim Manager for the California Earthquake Authority (CEA), the largest residential earthquake insurance company in the USA. In that capacity, he oversaw the earthquake claim handling of the 17 member insurance companies who take and process CEA residential earthquake claims. He was previously a claim manager with CIGNA insurance company where he supervised property claims in seven Western states. He is a graduate of California State Polytechnic University and has worked in the insurance industry his whole career. He has held positions in underwriting, insurance operations and claims. He is a CPCU (Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter) and a past president of Sacramento Valley Chapter of CPCU. He has also earned the RPA (Registered Professional Adjuster) designation. He has written articles for Claims Magazine as well as CPCU News. He is an accomplished public speaker and has given key note speeches on the topic of converting and investing TV time toward your own personal self-development. He has presented at the CPCU Annual Meeting and Seminars, and is a regular part of the earthquake coverage panel at PLRB's (Property Loss Research Bureau) Annual Claims Conference.

 

Lona "Grace" Koch
CRMP Governing Board / Cal OES, Chief Deputy Director.  Lona "Grace" Koch was appointed Chief Deputy Director for the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services  on April 27, 2017. Her responsibilities include but are not limited to daily briefings to the Governor’s Office on the status of emergency operations statewide, day-to-day policy development, coordination and supervision of the Office, including all critical infrastructure, grants management and information analysis.  During recovery operations she serves as the Deputy State Coordinating Officer.  Prior to her appointment, Grace served as Chief of the California Department of General Services, Office of Strategic Planning Cal OES, Deputy Director of Finance and Administration and Special Adviser.  She also held several positions from 1989 to 2008, including Deputy Director for Preparedness and Training, External Affairs and Response and Recovery, Program Manager, Associate Information System Analyst, Emergency Service Coordinator and Analyst.
